Who is competing?

America’s greatest wrestlers will perform in AWL I THE BEGINNING,
the nation’s new professional freestyle wrestling league.
Over 60 of the nation’s top wrestling stars have already
committed to be part of the 2018-19 season draft.

What is the AWL Draft?

The AWL will hold an inaugural draft for its first event: AWL I THE BEGINNING.
On November 3rd, two team captains will choose their roster of
10 men’s freestyle wrestlers and 2 women’s freestyle wrestlers to compete
for team bragging rights and individual purses of $10,000 per match.

What is the AWL?

The American Wrestling League is a Professional freestyle wrestling organization based in the United States, featuring top-ranked wrestlers from all styles. The AWL will produce events nationwide that will boast a fan friendly experience, wrestling match-ups, nonstop action and an experience that can only be described as, “The Greatest Wrestling Show on Earth!”

Where and when is AWL One taking place?

AWL will launch its first event, AWL I THE BEGINNING, in the wrestling heartland
of Iowa on November 30th at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Why is it time for the AWL?

USA’s wrestlers have waited for the time when they could get paid to compete
and make a living doing what they love. There is no better time than NOW
to give our athletes a professional outlet to stay in the sport that makes
our nation great and provides fans with a spectacle
that will make them asking for more.

Are there only 2 AWL teams?

The first 2 teams in AWL will be drafted live Saturday, November 3rd at 6pm CT/ 7pm ET by Team Captains and 2018 World Champions Kyle Dake and David Taylor. These two teams will then face off at AWL I: The Beginning, a Professional Freestyle Dual Meet on November 30th at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. Additional Teams will be drafted following AWL I.

The Teams are picked, what happens next?

Captains, Dake and Taylor will choose their final lineup on Saturday, Nov 10 at 6pm EST. The matchups for AWL 2 "The Beginning" will be released exclusively on
